 Remote Control Technology Massage Chairs

Most of us are now familiar with using a remote control to control different electronic devices. Manufacturers of massage chairs also use remote controls to activate the numerous features contained in them. There are two basic approaches commonly used today. One type of remote control is wired directly into the recliner. The other uses infrared light and contains no wires. We look at the different technologies used to control today's advanced massage chairs.

It is interesting that infrared remote control technology has been around for many years. However, most massage chair manufacturers still use a hardwired cable from the remote control into the chairs circuit board. There are still very few truly wireless controllers in the massage chair industry. Most massage chair remote controls are hardwired.

A hardwired remote control will provide you with the most reliability. Each button is directly connected into the circuit board of the recliner. A computer cable is run between the remote control and the circuit board.

Infrared remote controls are generally used just as a sub remote. The main remote control is generally hardwired into the circuit board. The sub remote is used to adjust the controls by pointing it at the main remote control.

The remote control uses a receiving station and a sending station. An infrared frequency is selected in order to stand out in the surrounding noise. The signal is then sent from the remote to the receiving station.

One of the reasons that you do not find infrared remotes very widespread is that they are generally very compact. Most massage chair manufacturers have integrated liquid crystal displays into their main remotes. An LCD has the advantage of displaying pictures or graphics which provide you with a lot of information about the operation of the chair.

An LCD has become extremely popular in our current society. LCDs have the advantage of being very compact with the ability to display high-resolution graphics. This gives manufacturers of massage chairs an easy way to communicate the sophisticated operations of a massage chair.

Most massage chair manufacturers have opted for the integration of LCD screens. LCDs provide a quick and easy way to provide the user with a lot of information. There are many different features that run simultaneously in a massage chair and an LCD is a great way to show them in real time.

There are many of us who have way too many remote controls. A remote control comes with almost every conceivable electronic device. Most of these remote controls have dedicated feature buttons which are activated once they are pressed.

Remote controls come with either dedicated buttons for a function or enable you to cycle through different menu options. Massage chair manufacturers that use dedicated buttons allow you to select a particular massage treatments. These treatments can also be directed to particular areas for targeting.

Massage chair manufacturers are always concerned about the aesthetics of the chair. One downside of having so many features in a recliner is that the remote tends to get larger. This can become problematic in disguising or hiding the remote control to blend in with the recliner.

Consumer electronics are advancing rapidly with electronics in general. The cost of different electronics is dropping rapidly as they are scaling up in volume. This has been good for manufacturers of massage chairs as they are able to include more features for less money.

There are many fascinating technologies contained in today's massage chairs. These technological wonders provide you with a host of therapeutic features at the touch of a button. The use of advanced remote control technology and LCD screens enables you to customize the massage and instantly see the total activities of the recliner in real-time. This is just a brief review of the remote control technology used by the most advanced manufacturers of massage chairs today.
